The CARICOM Group of Eminent Persons quietly left the country this week after meeting with members of the government, the CEP, and numerous political and civil society organizations. The Caribbean envoys received many requests, complaints, and grievances from Haitian actors. Le Nouvelliste asked some of these actors: “What do you expect from CARICOM’s Eminent Persons?”

Having arrived in Haiti on September 2, the CARICOM envoys left the country on Wednesday, September 9, without making any statements about their visit, either before, during, or after. Between last week and this week, they held a series of meetings and spoke with a number of political and civil society organizations. Each had requests, grievances, demands, or recommendations to present to these foreign representatives.
