The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), as its name suggests, has two components: commerce and industry. Very often, there is a tendency to focus more on the commerce component and neglect the one related to industry. Taking this reality into account, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the government, sought to highlight the ministry’s industrial component by organizing an “Industry Week,” which includes an industrial fair, MCI official Roberto Augustin explained to Magik 9.
“That is where the idea of organizing an Industry Week came from, during which several activities will take place. During this week, three days will be devoted primarily to industry. The first day (October 1, 2026) will mark the official opening of Industry Week at the Karibe Convention Center; the second day will feature a Career Guidance Fair, and the third day (Saturday, October 3) will feature the Industrial Fair at El Rancho. The fair is an essential component of Industry Week,” said Roberto Augustin, who appeared alongside Mona Lissa Dunbar, both MCI officials invited to Radio Magik 9 on Friday, September 25, 2026.
