Following Frantz Duval’s September 22 editorial, “To Encourage Voters to Register, the CEP Must Make the List of Candidates Public,” the Electoral Council has made the registration process for candidates seeking elected office public. On its website, the CEP allows the public to follow several electoral operations in real time.

It is now possible to track candidate registration for all elected positions in the upcoming elections in real time. The lists of the 10 presidential candidates, 204 Senate candidates, 604 candidates for the Chamber of Deputies, 285 municipal slates, and candidates for CASEC and ASEC are now available. The names of the candidates and the political organizations under whose banners they are running are all accessible on the CEP’s website.
