The Palmiste and Gran Grif gangs secured the release of two of their associates from the Petite-Rivière-de-l’Artibonite police station before releasing hundreds of civilians they had taken hostage in retaliation for their arrest.

In a video circulating on social media, members of the Gran Grif and Palmiste gangs announced the release and return of two of their associates before indicating that they would, in turn, release hundreds of hostages.
