For years, the Haitian population has endured repeated shocks, the psychological consequences of which are rarely addressed. It is from this realization that the Mounite Festival is born, which will take place from October 8 to 11 in Cap-Haïtien. Four days of panels, theater, and music focused on mental health.

According to the organizers, silence, fear of judgment, and limited access to resources prevent many individuals from seeking help. The festival chooses art and community dialogue to break this isolation. According to the organizers, the festival does not intend to remain a one-time event. Its ambition is to become an annual gathering in Haiti and the Caribbean, around a sustainable network of actors committed to mental health.
