From October 2 to 4, 2026, in Paris, at the Pavillon Gravelle, the Salon of Overseas Gastronomy and World Cuisines (SAGASDOM) celebrates its tenth anniversary. For this exceptional edition, nearly a hundred exhibitors and over twenty territories are expected in Paris. Among them, Haiti will hold a special place as the guest of honor.

To represent the colors of the first black republic, the organization has chosen Saveur Créole 509, the brand of Haitian chef Carline Irantus, a figure of the diaspora committed to promoting Haitian gastronomy.

At her stand, visitors will be invited to discover a cuisine that aims to be both generous, identity-driven, and steeped in memory. Chef Carline Irantus, who has already contributed to popularizing djondjon rice, emblematic of Haitian cuisine, on various international stages, will offer tastings of soup joumou, griot, and tassot, as well as several of her creations.

Beyond flavors, this Haitian presence aims to highlight an important part of the country’s cultural heritage. Gastronomy thus becomes a means of telling Haiti's story, its traditions, and the richness of its identity.

The opening night, set for Friday, October 2, will notably showcase Haitian culture, with a night entirely dedicated to the guest of honor country.

This anniversary edition will also be marked by the presence of Côte d'Ivoire, which will have its own space, "Sublime Côte d'Ivoire," dedicated to its culinary, artisanal, and tourism riches.

The meeting of these two cultural universes on the same Parisian stage offers another perspective on gastronomy as a vehicle for transmission, dialogue, and cultural influence.

From October 2 to 4, at Pavillon Gravelle in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, SAGASDOM invites the public to discover overseas and international territories. For Haiti, the event will also be an opportunity to let the Parisian public taste some of the flavors that make its cuisine unique.
