"The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) reminds the General Administration of Customs (AGD) that the Haitian state does not recognize, on the territory of the Dominican Republic, any dry port or any mechanism for transshipment or transit of goods from third countries destined for the Republic of Haiti," reads a communiqué signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel Collin, dated September 30, 2026. <\/p>
"Consequently, the communiqué informs that goods coming from third countries and destined for the Haitian market must be shipped directly to the seaports or international airports of Haiti, where they must be presented to the AGD, subjected to the required inspections as well as the payment of applicable duties and taxes." <\/p>
