The Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium, in Santo Domingo, took on the appearance of a Haitian stadium on Thursday, October 1, during the match between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, part of League A of the Concacaf Nations League. Despite the Dominicans’ status as the host country, Haitian supporters overwhelmingly filled the stands, creating an atmosphere that accompanied the victory of the Grenadiers (4-1).

Coming from various backgrounds, including the Haitian community established in the Dominican Republic, supporters responded in large numbers to the call. Blue and red flags, national jerseys, and chants gave a special color to this match between the two countries sharing the island. The west stand, reserved for Dominican supporters, was also overwhelmed by the Haitian presence. According to CDN Deportes, the Haitian colors dominated the bleachers to the point that Dominican flags were barely distinguishable.
