Are we heading towards a new provisional government? The recent political events do not yet suggest such a scenario. However, the establishment of a neutral transitional government is the desire of former senator Kelly Clédor Bastien. Speaking on the show Panel Magik on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the former lawmaker from the North department and current leader of the political grouping DELIVRANS considers the government led by Alix Didier Fils-Aimé unfit to carry out the electoral process, its neutrality now compromised.
Indeed, the current government, arising from the National Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections, is made up of ministers and other high officials mostly from the signatory political formations of this Pact. All of these are political formations that intend to participate in the upcoming elections, with the risk of making state resources available for their electoral campaigns. The increasingly persistent accusations of collusion between Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé and the political grouping VIKTWA do not help this situation, knowing that a transitional government must be politically neutral to preserve the trust of political actors regarding its ability to organize fair and impartial elections.
