On Saturday, October 3, 2026, Gouttes-Lettres Publishing organized a new edition of the « Grand Rendez-vous EGL » at their headquarters located in Thomassin 28, Pétion-Ville. This cultural meeting was dedicated to the work: « The Figures of the Other in Haitian Painting and Literature ». This text by Dr. Sterlin Ulysse, Dean of the Institute of African Studies and Research in Haiti (IERAH), drew a crowd in Pétion-Ville.

The event brought together scholars, researchers, and other participants for a cross-reflection on the history of art and literary criticism. Moderated by Darkovens Paulin and Ashley Métellus, the discussion explored the mechanisms of representation of the Other in the Haitian artistic and literary imagination.
