Dominican President Luis Abinader met on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Albert Ramdin, to discuss the security crisis in Haiti. On this occasion, Ramdin presented the organization's action plan and outlined efforts to support United Nations initiatives related to the international force tasked with combating gangs. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the opening of the 41st session of the ECLAC in Santiago de los Caballeros.<\/p>
