Kenscoff mourns the death of its mayor Massillon Jean

The commune of Kenscoff is in mourning. Its mayor, Massillon Jean, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, after experiencing a health issue. This interim executive agent had distinguished himself in defending this municipality since the initial criminal attacks by the coalition "Viv ansanm" on January 27, 2025. This commitment lasted until his death on Friday.

"He suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest. He did not survive," a medical source told the Nouvelliste succinctly. According to testimonies, Massillon Jean became unwell while heading to the locality of Bois d’Avril to carry out his routine defense and administration activities alongside law enforcement.
