Several civil society organizations are advocating for a comprehensive evaluation of the electoral process, following the successive amendments made to the electoral decree by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). They believe that such an approach is necessary to restore trust in the electoral institution and create the essential conditions for holding elections.

In a document published on October 9, 2026, titled "Amendment of the electoral decree and change of the calendar: a comprehensive evaluation of the process is necessary," the Observatory for Good Governance and Democracy (OBGD) relays the position of several civil society organizations in favor of reevaluating the electoral process.
