With just over two weeks until the announced resumption of American Airlines flights between Miami and Cap-Haïtien, work is ongoing at the international airport of the country's second city. The General Director of the National Airport Authority (AAN), José Bernard Mathias Schettini, assures that necessary arrangements are in progress to welcome the American company under better conditions.

Scheduled for November 1, 2026, the resumption of American Airlines operations is expected to restore a daily direct connection between Miami and Cap-Haïtien. Officially announced on June 12, this service will mark the return of a major American carrier to the Haitian market, following the suspension of flights by major American companies amid security concerns.
