Growing up takes time. One must also learn to accept it. This is the idea that runs through Francesca André's last two children's books, "From Cocoon to Wings" and "A Very Impatient Caterpillar". The Haitian-born author and multidisciplinary artist addresses themes of patience and self-confidence, which resonate with her own experiences.

In an interview with Ticket Magazine, Francesca André shares that both books reflect her personality equally. "A Very Impatient Caterpillar" reminds her of her daily life as a mother, teaching her son that growing up takes time. But the message is also directed at herself. "I know I will have my wings, but sometimes, I’m impatient and want to know when and how," she acknowledges.
