In her investiture speech, Cosy Nadège Clergé Joseph emphasized the need to consolidate the institution's achievements, enhance member business participation, and make the Chamber a more effective instrument for the private sector in the South. She announced six strategic axes, including institutional modernization, strengthening member services, trade missions, mobilizing the diaspora, developing viable sectors, and regional integration.

While acknowledging the fragilities that the institution still faces, Jean Nathan Lethang welcomed the new president and expressed his support.

The new president intends to anchor her mandate in a results-oriented logic. Aware of the responsibilities that accompany her position, she highlighted the importance of preserving the legacy of CCI-Sud while adapting its operations to the current needs of businesses. "Our mandate, which extends from 2024 to 2028, can be summed up in one word: execution. Our word commits us," she declared, thus placing the realization of commitments at the heart of her program.

For Cosy Nadège Clergé Joseph, the Chamber must go beyond its role of institutional representation and become a true growth lever for businesses in the department. She aims to encourage their formalization, improve their competitiveness, facilitate their access to markets, and promote partnerships and investments.

"The mission of this board is simple: to make the Chamber a strong, modern, and dynamic institution, indispensable in Haiti as well as internationally, and a true economic lever for all businesses in the South, from microenterprises to large industries," she asserted.

This ambition is based on six strategic axes. Institutional modernization and digital transformation are among the priorities, as well as improving the services offered to members. The new team also aims to strengthen commercial links between businesses in the South, national and international markets, and the diaspora.

The president believes that the economic development of the department must be part of a broader dynamic, based on exchanges and the opportunities offered by the Great South region.

The president took the opportunity to call on entrepreneurs to actively participate in the governance of their institution by making proposals, expressing their criticisms, and engaging in collective initiatives. She presented this mobilization as an important condition to make the Chamber more effective and better suited to the needs of the private sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, outgoing president Jean Nathan Lethang expressed his gratitude to Chamber members for the opportunities given to him to serve the business community of the Great South.

His speech was marked by the confidence expressed in the new president, whose background and commitment to the economic and social fabric he praised. "You inherit a relatively stable and structured institution, but one that still presents fragilities," he noted to Cosy Nadège Clergé Joseph.

He wished every success to the new president and her team, while reaffirming his support and commitment to the economic development of the department and the region.
