GTTF Haiti (Global Traditional Taekwondo Federation) was founded on October 11, 2024. Over two years, the federation has made several positive strides. In the last three months alone, it organized three national competitions (in the North, West, and South). Haiti was even recognized as number one in the Caribbean this year.
In collaboration with Canada, GTTF Haiti has planned this international competition. Countries such as the Dominican Republic, Canada, Senegal, El Salvador, Grenada, and Comoros Islands are expected to attend. “October 30 is the deadline for participant registration. It is a way to better prepare ourselves to welcome them,” Mr. Jacques stated on the show 109 sports, broadcast on Radio Magik9 and Télé 20.<\/p>
One of the competition's goals is for foreigners to discover the country. “Showing positive images of the country to the guests is our main ambition,” Mr. Jacques said. Among other concerns, there is also the fight against juvenile delinquency and providing Haitian athletes with a better outlook.<\/p>
During the competition, there will also be team matches (4 against 4). Hector Jacques hopes that people will come for this competition. He also hopes to receive support from the state and the private sector to successfully carry out this tournament.
