The second edition of D1 Paryaj Lakay will start on November 8, 2026, without the Association Sportive de Mirebalais (ASM). The club from the Centre department contests its exclusion and denounces the refusal of Haitian football authorities to accept an alternative solution for security reasons. Its leaders believe they have met the participation requirements and do not understand why their proposal was not accepted.
Invited to the show 109 Sport, broadcast on Magik 9, the general secretary of ASM, Joseph Michel Makinzy, did not hide his dissatisfaction. "They argued that AS Mirebalais could not participate in the championship this year due to insecurity. But we proposed an alternative, they did not respond, and the League published a list of 12 teams without ours," he explained. This statement brings back to the forefront the criteria applied to clubs and the commitment of the authorities to find solutions to the country's security issues.
