The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) distributed over 380 preschool kits on October 20 and 21, 2026, at three national schools in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, including Canapé-Vert, Pétion-Ville, and Frères, given to preschool students aged 3 to 5 years. These kits contain materials necessary for preschool learning activities. According to the Direction of Preschool Education, the operation will be extended to several school districts across the country, in both public and private institutions. This initiative is notably funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), as part of the Support Project for the Decennial Education and Training Plan (PAPDEF).
