On Thursday, October 15, 2026, which marks the International Day of Rural Women, the Rassemblement des Madan Sara (RAMSA) from all over the country gathered to showcase rural women during an event held at the auditorium of Henry Christophe University in Limonade. For many observers, this activity carried out in the North of Haiti is one of the few that brings together personalities from almost all sectors of national life.
Indeed, among those present were representatives from the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), the mayor's office of Cap-Haïtien, as well as the Madan Sara (these women vendors whose daily activities require them to travel across the country while forming the central axis of a food distribution network and fueling the informal economy).
