Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele Issues Ultimatum to Criminal Gangs in Haiti

Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele has a message for the Haitian criminal gangs responsible for the disappearance of four soldiers from his country on Sunday, October 18, in Santo. He published this message in Creole on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, as the area where the soldiers engaged in the Gang Suppression Force (FRG) went missing was the scene of an operation involving helicopters, armored vehicles, and explosive drones.

“Today we launched a military operation to rescue them. We have only one goal: to bring our four compatriots home, alive and unharmed. But I want you, gang leaders, to understand one thing very clearly: today’s attack is nothing compared to what awaits you if you do not release the four hostages alive,” thundered the Salvadoran head of state.
