The economist and young leader Juste-Coeur Beaubrun is the first Haitian selected for the systemic change segment of the One Young World Summit. He is one of the 12 recipients of the The NewNow scholarship, chosen from over 7,000 applications from around the world. The information was made public on October 21, 2026.
The summit will bring together approximately 2,200 young leaders from over 190 countries, from November 3 to 6, 2026, in Cape Town, South Africa. Juste-Coeur Beaubrun will represent Haiti there. On November 2, he will participate with the other members of the NewNow 2026 cohort in an international day of reflection dedicated to systemic change. The scholarship, awarded in partnership with Virgin Unite, the foundation of the Virgin group created by Sir Richard Branson, covers the entirety of his participation and includes online training on systemic change.
