The Emotional Shock
I had just seen, on its release day in Paris, Marie Madeleine, the new film by director Gessica Généus. I was literally paralyzed in that cinema hall at Les Halles, like a child in front of his birthday cake at the moment of blowing out the candles. The burning images of this film were still dancing under my eyelids, causing a kind of intoxication in me. This little trance which suddenly puts you in a merry mood. You want to tell your neighbor what is happening to you, only to ultimately keep the flame to yourself. So why did this woman, who was giving me her back, suddenly turn around for no reason and give me that radiant smile? My joy is contagious and does not always need words to declare its presence.
