The Violette Athletic Club will not see the final of the Concacaf Caribbean Cup 2026. Despite their 2-1 victory against Portmore United on Wednesday, October 28, at Sabina Park in Kingston, the Haitian club is eliminated after the two legs, with an aggregate score of 4-3. The Old Tiger managed to maintain hopes of a comeback until the last minutes of the match.
The return match was already looking complicated for Rony Attimy's men. Initially scheduled for October 20 at Cibao Stadium in Santiago, Dominican Republic, it was postponed after the authorization granted to Violette AC to host Portmore United was revoked. This decision followed the mobilization announced by the Dominican nationalist organization Antigua Orden Dominicana against holding the match. In light of this situation, the Haitian club repatriated its delegation to Haiti before CONCACAF set a new date and location. The return semi-final was eventually scheduled in Jamaica, a week later.
