Germany is providing logistical support to the Gang Suppression Force (FRG) in Haiti by facilitating the air transport of over 600 tons of priority equipment from Bangladesh. This contribution has been praised by the United States, which sees it as an important step in international efforts to strengthen security in Haiti.

“We thank the German government for its generous contributions to the Gang Suppression Force in Haiti. The air transport of over 600 tons of priority equipment from Bangladesh enables significant progress in security as part of our joint efforts to restore stability for the Haitian people,” said Juan Pablo Segura, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs.
