“We brought this delegation to the World Chocolate & Cocoa and Pastry Show in Paris to allow businesses to understand the realities of the international market. It is important to know that markets impose their needs in terms of quality, quantity, and price,” stated Patrice Leclercq, Senior Technical Advisor at the ILO, one of the nineteen U.S. agencies based in Haiti. “For PLACAGA and AFESDAM, this is a significant first step, as it allows them to step outside Haiti and acquire knowledge about the market, buyers, and both local and foreign competitors,” he added.

Kaléos attended the show but did not have the opportunity to showcase its products. However, another Haitian company, Atika, which participated this year, has previously attended the World Chocolate Show multiple times. “We decided to help Kaléos participate in the show to allow the public to discover the various products from this company,” said Fabrice Leclercq, noting that Kaléos was able to establish a business relationship with a major buyer who subsequently placed a firm order for an additional 25 tons of chocolate.
