Since February 29, 2024, countless hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, and other elements of the healthcare chain have been rendered unavailable. Not by choice, but because they have been attacked, looted, and burned.

Both the state and private owners of these institutions have been forced to submit to the unchecked violence imposed by gangs. The availability of healthcare has been shrinking daily, week after week, since February 2024.
