Five days before the planned forum on insecurity, announced by Mirlande Manigat, the president of the High Council of the Transition, Colonel Himmler Rébu severely criticized the initiative, stating that it aims to ridicule the population. Instead, he believes that the authorities should assemble 11 security experts to make a proper diagnosis and develop a strategy to restore peace in the country.

"How can we discuss a country's security problems in public?" wonders Colonel Himmler Rébu during his participation in the Panel Magik show on Thursday, May 11th. "It's as if we are gathering all the experts of the country to publicly discuss the elements that can solve security problems. This is entirely against the rules, abnormal, and at worst, it can be compared to a collective lie to the population. In no scenario can solutions to the country's security problems be proposed in a forum," he analyzed.
