Pastor Calixte Fleuridor was reelected in the first round of elections for the Protestant Federation of Haiti, defeating Reverend Pastors Julio Volcy and Vijonet Demero on Friday, May 26, 2023. Pastor Calixte Fleuridor, a member of the High Council of Transition (HCT), believes that "this new election gives him a fresh opportunity to continue working for the benefit of the Protestant community in Haiti."

"My opponents in the election were formidable, which makes the trust placed in me very valuable," said Pastor Fleuridor, who took the opportunity to thank the mission leaders, churches, organizations, and leagues that voted for him. Furthermore, he emphasized that, from a legal standpoint, the status of the Protestant Federation of Haiti does not prevent a council member from holding a non-elective position at the state level.
