The Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) "appreciates," "welcomes," and is "convinced" that the support of the Biden administration expressed by Vice President Kamala Harris during a recent summit with heads of state and government of CARICOM will contribute to the early renewal of the HOPE/HELP Act, which expires in 2025. "ADIH appreciates and welcomes the official position of the Vice President of the United States indicating that the Biden administration supports the early renewal of the HOPE/HELP legislation”.

ADIH is convinced that this official position will help facilitate the necessary steps for the renewal of this legislation, this year, by both chambers of the U.S. Congress," said Wilhelm Lemke, President of ADIH, in an interview with Le Nouvelliste. The President of ADIH stated that "the campaign for the renewal of HOPE/HELP in April 2021 has borne fruit."
