According to Professor Harold Pierre, support from the international community for the national police is becoming more evident. This is evidenced by various bilateral meetings that have taken place, including those in the Bahamas, CARICOM, and Brazil, focused on the Haitian crisis. In this regard, Mr. Pierre urges the Haitian government and the opposition to seize this "momentum" to try to resolve the Haitian crisis.

"There is an opportunity for Haiti. In the past years, it was much more challenging with the Russia-Ukraine war. Now there is a resolution, and countries can take a breath to think about the case of Haiti. Before, all attention was focused on that war," he recalled during his interview with the Panel Magik show on July 4th.
