The Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian Armed Forces has observed that certain international actors are hesitant to engage in the battle against the gangs that are wreaking havoc in the country, in order to avoid becoming ensnared in Haiti's complex situation. General Jodel Lessage believes that the viable solution is to provide the national forces with the necessary resources to effectively counter the armed gangs.

"While observing certain foreign entities, it becomes evident that their reluctance to participate is rooted in a desire to avoid entanglement in Haiti's intricate challenges. In light of this, the most logical and effective approach would be to furnish our national forces with the required guidance, weaponry, and equipment, enabling them to effectively confront the criminal gangs," stated the Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian Armed Forces. He made this statement during his participation in the international conference on insecurity in Haiti, which was organized by Quisqueya University last June.
