Fleeing the terror of the Gran-Ravin gang, residents of Carrefour-Feuilles and surrounding areas have sought refuge in Carrefour, Les Cayes, La Vallée-de-Jacmel, and other regions in the Grand South. The interim executive agents of Les Cayes and La Vallée-de-Jacmel confirm to Le Nouvelliste the significant influx of displaced individuals in their respective municipalities.

"Yes, we feel the pressure from the displaced coming from Port-au-Prince. There is a lot of activity in the stations with displaced people arriving, and we are beginning to see people sleeping in public squares," stated Marie Sylvie Rameau, mayor of Les Cayes, to Le Nouvelliste on Wednesday.
