"Meetings continue in a similar fashion between Ariel Henry, his allies who signed the December 21st agreement, and members of the opposition. The latter demand the resignation of the Prime Minister as one of the agenda items for the talks. The Prime Minister and his allies oppose this. Caricom, which plays the role of mediator in the crisis, is considering the possibility of restarting the talks in another country, according to several stakeholders in the talks who have reported to Le Nouvelliste.

"The contentious point in our last meeting was the resignation of the Prime Minister, which was supposed to be included in the agenda. Prime Minister Granderson, one of the eminent personalities of Caricom, had proposed to consult on the contentious point. He is supposed to get back to us after these consultations," reported Antoine Rodon Bien-Aimé, former deputy and leader of the Compromis Historique organization, a signatory of the December 21st agreement.
