The Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti has already garnered its initial financial support. Responding to the Security Council's vote on Monday, October 2nd, the U.S. Secretary of State indicated that his country was prepared to allocate up to $200 million to fund the force. Antony Blinken made this announcement in a statement. "As previously stated, we intend to work with Congress to provide $100 million in foreign aid, and the Department of Defense is ready to provide up to $100 million in support. We continue to ensure that the international community also provides funding, equipment, training, and personnel to support a truly multinational effort," Antony J. Blinken conveyed.

Following this, the U.S. Secretary of State called for political results in Haiti. "While this action represents significant progress, the United States renews its urgent call to political actors, including Prime Minister Henry and members of the opposition, to broaden the consensus and restore democratic order in Haiti," he urged.
