"It's done! The Family Humanitarian Program is ready to receive your files," announced Canada's ambassador to Haiti André François Giroux in a tweet on November 17, who shared the link https://www.canada.ca/fr/immigration-refugies-citoyennete/services/immigrer-canada/humanitaire-colombie-haiti-venezuela.html giving details on the "Family Humanitarian Program for Colombians, Haitians and Venezuelans".
"This program will create another migration option to Canada. We will welcome up to 11,000 people with family in Canada who are nationals of Colombia, Haiti or Venezuela, currently living in South America, Central America, Mexico or the Caribbean, and whose family member in Canada is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, your spouse, common-law partner, child (of any age), grandchild, parent, grandparent or sibling, willing to support your application. If you are a national of one of these countries, this is a regular and safe way to come to Canada," reads the Canadian government's communication, which stresses that there are "no fees" involved.
