At the Karibe Hotel on Tuesday, November 21, in the morning, the President of the 78th UN General Assembly met with the country's main political forces. Representatives from the December 21 Accord, members of the political coalition Front Uni, signatories of the Montana agreement, Fanmi Lavalas, En Avant, Force Louverturienne, the head of BINUH, and the UN delegation led by Mr. Dennis Francis engaged in dialogue. All political actors attending the meeting had a speaking time to state and defend their positions.
Once again, as in numerous meetings with Caricom Envoys, each party remained entrenched in its position. "Nothing has changed," participants in the meeting reported to the newspaper. Political actors, including a member of the Montana agreement and Dr. Claude Joseph, severely criticized the head of BINUH for her recent stance, deemed too favorable and accommodating to Prime Minister Ariel Henry.
