For weeks now, employees and beneficiaries of the GHESKIO Centers have been taking to the streets, urging the release of Douglas Pape. GHESKIO staff has written to Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who heads the National Police Council (CSPN), denouncing the kidnapping of Douglas Pape, whose father, Jean William Pape, has dedicated his entire career to serving the Haitian community.
"Mr. Prime Minister, your role fundamentally involves the physical and health protection of all citizens. It is on this basis that your personal and energetic intervention, along with the mobilization of your services, is requested to promptly end the suffering of all the victims of this return to human trafficking, including Douglas Pape. You and your government will primarily be held accountable in history for this setback," the staff asserted.
