The United States is tightening its visa restriction policy against those who facilitate irregular migration to its territory. The spokesperson for the State Department, Matthew Miller, made the announcement on February 21st, three months after a nearly similar announcement on November 21st, 2023.
"The State Department adopted today a new visa restriction policy under section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). This policy targets owners, executives, and senior officials of charter flight companies, ground transportation, and maritime transport services primarily intended for individuals intending to migrate irregularly to the United States. This new policy strengthens and replaces the policy known as Nicaragua 3C on charter flights published in November 2023," reads the statement.
