Since their installation on Thursday, April 25, 2024, the members of the Presidential Transitional Council have not yet officially made themselves known. However, they took advantage of their break to draft a document that will allow them to organize the internal election for the selection of the Council's president. They have reportedly scheduled this election for next Tuesday, April 30.

In this document entitled "Mechanism Applicable to the Election of the President of the Transitional Presidential Transitional Council (TPC)," a copy of which Le Nouvelliste obtained, the TPC members established an electoral board to organize the election to choose their president. "The Electoral Board (EB) consists of three members: the two non-voting members of the TPC and a third member, drawn by lot on the day of the election from among the voting sectors' members who do not have a candidate. The presidency of the EB is ensured by one of the non-voting members of the TPC chosen by consensus on the day of the election," observed Le Nouvelliste in the document.
