Despite the ongoing turmoil in Haiti, the country received a delightful surprise. Melchie Daëlle Dumornay has been named the 2023/24 Young Player of the Season in the Champions League by UEFA's technical observers.

Known as Corventina, Dumornay shines at the pinnacle of women's football, even though her team, Lyon, lost the final to FC Barcelona on Saturday, May 25, 2025.
