For several weeks, members of the Presidential Transition Council have been entangled in selecting the Prime Minister to implement the transition roadmap with their government. Amid opacity surrounding the screening of candidates, ambiguity about the number of applications received, and the slow deliberations of CPT members, the Council's credibility is eroding. How was the Prime Minister's selection envisaged in the April 3 agreement?
Officially, since the publication of the call for applications for the Prime Minister position on May 11, the Presidential Transition Council has not communicated about the process. Occasionally, presidential advisors, as they refer to themselves, make media appearances, but nothing formal has been released. It is known that there is a shortlist consisting of Fritz Bélizaire, Gary Conille, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé, Didier Fils-Aimé, and Rodolphe Joazil, but no more information has been officially disclosed.
