The evaluation mission dispatched to Haiti on May 20th, in preparation for the deployment of an initial contingent of Kenyan officers, has submitted its evaluation report to President William Ruto this Friday. The Kenyan head of state announced this on his X account, assuring that his country will fully execute the mandate given by the UN resolution.
"Given the leadership role that Kenya will assume in the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMAS) mandated by the United Nations Security Council in Haiti, I have received a comprehensive assessment from the team that undertook an evaluation mission to verify the preparedness for the deployment of our officers. I am confident that the mandate of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2699 (2023) will be achieved," stated the president of this East African nation.
