Prime Minister Garry Conille visited the headquarters of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. The head of government wanted to assess the state of the organization responsible for overseeing the upcoming elections during this transitional period, in accordance with the political agreement of April 3, which established the current executive power.
"We have committed to moving towards organizing fair and credible elections. We will certainly need to build a national consensus on how to proceed. But it is absolutely essential to provide the country with elected officials as soon as possible," remarked Mr. Conille, noting that the CEP will be a crucial instrument in this effort.
