Prime Minister Garry Conille visited three police officers and two civilians who were injured by gunfire during operations in Bel-Air and Solino. They are receiving treatment at Bernard Mevs Hospital. The Prime Minister, who assured that the victims are receiving appropriate care, praised their bravery and dedication to serving their country. "Two of the victims had been previously injured by gunfire. These officers returned to the battlefield and, from their beds, assured us that they were eager to resume the fight to restore security. These are stories that need to be shared with the public. We are witnessing an extraordinary level of heroism and bravery. These are young individuals who understand the situation and are willing to sacrifice their lives for Haiti," noted Garry Conille, who was accompanied by, among others, the General Director of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Rameau Normil.
In this context, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for his government to support the police officers who put themselves at risk for the country. "I am in discussions with the Minister of Finance to secure funds for risk bonuses, insurance, and support for the families of the police officers who are victims," assured Conille, highlighting that he is also speaking with other state members to implement concrete measures to support the police and assist them in fulfilling their mission.
