Following his exploratory visit to the Northern and Northeastern departments from August 22 to 25, Prime Minister Garry Conille announced major initiatives for these regions. In an infographic shared by the head of government on August 29, the PM outlined development plans for both departments.

In the field of infrastructure, Garry Conille announced the construction of a new departure hall at Hugo Chavez International Airport in Cap-Haïtien. The Prime Minister also promised interventions by the Ministry of Public Works, including the profiling of the Ouanaminthe-Capotille road section, repairs to the Sainte-Suzanne road, signage along Cap-Haïtien Boulevard, widening the road to Vertières Village, and drainage work in Ouanaminthe.
