The Jean-Jacques Dessalines Lycée has been relocated to the premises of the Paul Robert College, under a contract with the Haitian government, after being occupied by displaced persons from Carrefour-Feuilles in early August 2023. Having received no funds from the state by the contract's expiration, the owner of Paul Robert College has decided to no longer host the school on its premises. “The owner closed the space. Even the administrative registrations we had initiated have been halted because we were denied access to the school,” said Jean Gérard Fleuriot, director of Jean-Jacques Dessalines Lycée, noting that the contract between Paul Robert College and the Haitian government expired in June 2024.

At a press conference on Saturday, September 28, 2024, the Minister of National Education mentioned a blockage at the Superior Court of Accounts that is preventing payment for certain spaces that have been rented for public schools.
