Although Prime Minister Garry Conille had clearly informed the Presidential Council that he does not have the constitutional authority to summon one of his ministers—as the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Council had attempted to do—Leslie Voltaire asserts that he possesses full power to convene ministers. In a responsive letter sent to the head of the Prime Minister's office, the new president of the CPT reminds him of his responsibilities.
Leslie Voltaire himself wrote directly to the Prime Minister: “I acknowledge receipt of your correspondence dated October 2, 2024, in which you argue that summoning the Minister of Foreign Affairs to meet with the Transitional Presidential Council does not adhere to established practices and principles of good governance,” writes the CPT president.
