The Presidential Council is seeking a reshuffle within the Conille government, with particular focus on the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Although Prime Minister Garry Conille previously indicated to the presidential advisors that he would not dismiss Dominique Dupuy, the entire government is now united against the Presidential Council's plans.

The Cabinet meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, could not take place; however, Garry Conille managed to hold a government council during which a resolution was adopted outlining Haiti's official stance on the massive deportations by Dominican authorities. Additionally, the government took this opportunity to oppose the Presidential Council's intention to dismiss the Minister of Foreign Affairs and implement a cabinet reshuffle.
