The Presidential Transition Council (CPT) and the Prime Minister's Office are at odds over a proposed cabinet reshuffle. Once again, the Council of Ministers meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2024, did not take place. The sticking point: the desire of presidential advisors to make changes within the government. According to sources close to both the Prime Minister's Office and the Presidential Council, CPT President Leslie Voltaire and Prime Minister Garry Conille have not spoken for about a week.

When was the last official meeting between the CPT President and the Prime Minister? When asked by Le Nouvelliste, neither the presidential advisors nor those close to Garry Conille could provide an exact answer. Despite the proximity of the Villa d’Accueil and the official residence of the Prime Minister in the Musseau area, Leslie Voltaire and Garry Conille have not communicated for at least a week. Their last encounter was a brief one, during the swearing-in of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) members on October 18.
